by Admin

Melanie Cole MSDid you know ACSM powers a Sports Medicine & Fitness Show on Health Radio? Hosted by Melanie Cole MS, an Exercise Physiologist and Personal Trainer with 20 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, the show covers the latest trends, research and hot health topics.

What can you expect on the Sports Medicine & Fitness Show?
Host Melanie invites experts from nutritionists to surgeons to join her on each program. Recent shows include topics such as ACL tears and rehabilitation, when it is safe to return to sport activities after a concussion and whether more active time leads to better grades for kids.

This show is great for seasoned professionals or for people completely new to the world of health and fitness. If you're thinking about getting an ACSM certification, listening in is a great way to see which topics and areas interest you most.

Here's just one sample of the show, featuring Richard T. Cotton MA, the National Director of Certification and Registry Programs at American College of Sports Medicine. This segment covers one of our favorite topics - Exercise is Medicine®, just in time for May, which is Exercise is Medicine® Month. Listen in to learn about this global initiative to make physical activity and exercise a standard part of disease prevention and treatment.
