Highlights

  • Launch of enhanced opportunities for exam preparation, including exam preparation courses designed using evidenced-based best practices for adult learners and practice exams that reflect real-time exam conditions.
  • Increased opportunities for ACSM certified professionals to engage with values-aligned employers, specifically through events held at ACSM regional chapter events.
  • Continued advocacy for ACSM certified professionals through focused efforts on workforce development and recognition of certified exercise professionals as vital members of health care work teams.
  • 2023 ACSM Certified Professional of the Year: Louise Valentine, MPH, CHES, ACSM-EP, EIM-II, ACSM-CPT, CSCS, BCTMB

ACSM Emerging Physician Leaders Program

Focusing on physician residents and fellows, ACSM introduced the Emerging Physician Leaders Program to promote early, meaningful association with the college and a clear path toward ACSM fellowship through mentorship. Twenty-seven mentors and mentees are participating in the three-year pilot program.
